51 Pegasi b

The first exoplanet discovered around a Sun-like star (Mayor & Queloz, 1995 — 2019 Nobel Prize). A "hot Jupiter" ~50 light-years away in Pegasus, orbiting its star every 4.2 days at 0.05 AU — a kind of planet that was completely unexpected and reshaped theories of planet formation.
