Black Hole

A region of spacetime where gravity is so intense that nothing, including light, can escape. Formed by the gravitational collapse of massive stars or by mergers. Bounded by the event horizon; the central singularity is hidden from outside view. The Milky Way hosts a supermassive example, Sagittarius A*, at its center.
