Fornax Cluster

The second-nearest galaxy cluster, ~65 million light-years away in the southern constellation Fornax. Smaller and more compact than Virgo, with about 350 known members. The brightest member is the peculiar lenticular galaxy NGC 1316 (Fornax A), a strong radio source remnant of a recent galaxy merger.
