Local Group
The small group of galaxies that includes the Milky Way, the Andromeda galaxy (M31) and the Triangulum galaxy (M33), together with around a hundred dwarf satellites, spanning roughly ten million light-years. Its two giant spirals dominate the group's gravity and are falling toward each other, expected to merge in about five billion years. The group itself is an outlying member of the Virgo Supercluster.
