Local Superclusters

The large-scale neighborhood of the Milky Way: superclusters of galaxies — Virgo, Perseus-Pisces, Coma and their neighbors — connected by filaments of galaxies and separated by nearly empty voids, mapped out to a few hundred million light-years. At this scale individual galaxies blur into the cosmic web, the largest structures in the universe.
