Pinwheel Galaxy

The Pinwheel Galaxy, a face-on Sc-type spiral ~21 million light-years away in Ursa Major. Larger than the Milky Way and slightly asymmetric, having absorbed companion galaxies. Host of a notable 2011 Type Ia supernova (SN 2011fe).
