M87 Virgo A

A giant elliptical galaxy at the heart of the Virgo Cluster, ~53 million light-years away. Hosts a 6.5-billion-solar-mass supermassive black hole — the first ever directly imaged, by the Event Horizon Telescope in 2019. Also notable for its relativistic jet visible from radio to X-ray.
