Neutron Star

An ultra-dense remnant of a massive star's supernova, packing about 1.4 solar masses into a city-sized sphere (~20 km diameter). A teaspoon of neutron star material weighs roughly a billion tons. Many rotate rapidly and emit beamed radio pulses, in which case they are observed as pulsars.
