Omega Centauri

The largest and brightest globular cluster orbiting the Milky Way, with several million stars at ~17,000 light-years. Multiple stellar populations and a possible intermediate-mass black hole hint that it is not a typical globular but the stripped core of a captured dwarf galaxy.
