Oumuamua

Discovered by Pan-STARRS1 on October 19, 2017, 1I/ʻOumuamua was the first confirmed interstellar object observed passing through the Solar System. Its strongly hyperbolic trajectory shows that it is not bound to the Sun. Large brightness changes revealed a tumbling, unusually shaped body, but it was never resolved directly, so its precise shape remains unknown.
