Sagittarius A*

The supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way, ~26,000 light-years away with a mass of about 4 million Suns. Its shadow was directly imaged by the Event Horizon Telescope in 2022, the second after M87*. Surrounded by a dense cluster of fast-orbiting stars (S2 and others) whose motions confirm its mass.
